One Health Virtual Conference!
One Health is a fundamental approach that emphasizes the necessity of working under a common roof to design and implement programs, policies, legislation, and research where different scientific disciplines and professional groups communicate to achieve better health outcomes in the human, animal, and environmental triangle. The One Health approach clearly emphasizes the importance of collaborative work among many professionals specialized in human, animal, and environmental health in the detection, control, and prevention of diseases or outbreaks that have gained increasing importance in recent years and have drawn attention due to the global pressures they exert on international trade and economy. The necessity for different scientific disciplines to work together for the measures to be taken both locally, nationally, and globally for human, animal, and environmental health by evaluating the research results obtained by all stakeholders defines the need for the "One Health" approach.
In this context, November 3 has been designated as "World One Health Day," and its purpose has been expressed as drawing attention to the need for the One Health approach in the context of health threats developing in the context of human, animal, and environmental relationships.
In this scope, a "One Health Virtual Conference" will be organized on Thursday, 03.11.2022, between 9.00-16.00, entirely online, within the scope of projects supported/concluded by TÜBİTAK, with the aims of bringing together scientists who aim to work with the One Health approach and contributing to the creation of collaborations by raising awareness in the public on this issue.
