
Polar Research 2023 Calls Are Opening!
The main objectives of the "National Polar Science Program (2018-2022)", which was put into effect by the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey on 27.12.2017; are to implement the National Polar Science Program under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey, in coordination with TÜBİTAK-MAM Polar Research Institute (KARE), to establish bilateral collaborations on polar sciences, and to send our scientists to the scientific bases of other countries.
In line with these objectives; the 2023 "Polar-1001" and "Polar Foreign Research Base Participation" project calls, which will support scientific studies related to "Polar Research", will be opened on October 10, 2022, within the framework of the conditions determined by TÜBİTAK-MAM KARE and ARDEB. Within the scope of the calls; the "Scientific Research Budget" has been increased from 200,000 TL to 300,000 TL, and the amount of the Project Incentive Bonus (PTI) to be given per project has been increased from 25,000 TL to 50,000 TL. Additionally, as a new application for projects that will only participate in the expedition, a "Logistics Budget" of 200,000 TL has been defined, and the total project budget upper limit for these projects has been increased to 500,000 TL excluding PTI.
